Godec, Institute of Metals and Technology, Ljubljana, Slovenia The installations of the modern research equipment at the Institute of Metals and Technology are presented chronologically, with an emphasis on electron microscopes with analytical techniques and spectroscopic methods. In parallel with the analytical techniques,there is a focus on the signifi cance of the results for industry as well as their scientifi c impact.
